Wilcox’s FUSION™ AMP Powered Rail and Accessories
Newington, NH— Wilcox, manufacturer of tactical products, is introducing a new idea in rails with the Fusion Rail that manages all of the electrical accessories through the rail with Wilcox’s Fusion Vertical Grip for M4 type carbines. This system eliminates all wires and decreases battery changes.
The power management of the Fusion rail allows the operator to independently control the desired accessories. The Fusion Vertical Grip Module features two separate controls and the Quick Change Power Cassette that holds a single CR-123A battery. The activation switches on the grip are located in the three and nine o’clock position and correspond to the accessories in these positions. A robust cam lock system allows for the grip to be positioned anywhere below the rail for operational comfort and moves the weapons center of gravity for better weapon handling. An easily accessible kill switch allows the system to be readied for use but prevents accidental discharge when not needed. One change of the grips Power Cassette eliminates what would have involved multiple battery changes in each of the separate accessories.
The Fusion rail utilizes several accessories specific to the system including a Wilcox/ SureFire® LED 120 lumen LED flashlight module and a 532 nm, 5 Mw laser. These accessories can sit in either the three or nine o’clock position without creating a large profile on the weapon and vertically eliminating snag hazards when handling the weapon.
All of the Fusion Amp rails are manufactured to NATO MIL-STD-1913 specifications and the electrical conduit features a robust design to work in the rigors of combat and adverse environmental conditions.
