Vertical Grip Integrates Light and Laser Controls with a Bipod
Newington, NH—Wilcox Industries Universal Control Vertical Grip (UCVG) puts control of both a white light and laser at your fingertips without use of a pressure pad switch, all in an ergonomic vertical grip with a hidden, spring-loaded bipod. The UCVG easily mounts to any MIL-STD-1913 rail system with a patented mounting interface and locks into place with a cam lock mechanism.
A thumb-activated selector switch allows for the operator to choose between a laser such as an ATPIAL and a SureFire Millennium Universal or ScoutLight. The switching is designed to allow for complete control of the light and laser without shifting your firing grip during an operation. Both light and laser can be activated simultaneously as well. The switching is located on the left and right side of the UCVG for ambidextrous operation. With a simple tap the switch provides momentary-on or two taps provide a constant-on.
The grip is made of an aerospace grade metal and has a molded plastic sleeve with a waffle pattern that prevents slippage while the weapon is being fired, even in wet, muddy or cold conditions.
The UCVG is designed to accept plugs from Insight lasers and SureFire WeaponLights equipped with Wilcox’s Multi-Function Tailcap Switch. Wilcox’s Multi-Function Tailcap fully replaces the SureFire tailcap for various SureFire WeaponLight systems including the ScoutLight™ and Millennium Universal Series and Classic Systems. The Multi-Function Tailcap features an activation switch on the back that allows manual operation of the WeaponLight or fully integrates with a remote connector cable to the UCVG. Inside the UCVG is a spring-loaded bipod that snaps down to provide the operator with a fast, stable aiming platform. The bipod easily retracts and locks back inside the UCVG.
An optional accessory for the UCVG is a removable Battery Storage Compartment that easily threads on in place of the bipod. This allows for the storage of two additional 123A lithium batteries.
